Yea and Amen
To experience God’s promises, we must always say yes to him, just as Jesus did. For when we are in complete agreement with his purpose, we share his achievements and glory.

All the promises God ever made, every vow,
From long, long ago until right here and now,
In Christ are settled, sealed up, and shining—
With truth everlasting and perfect designing.
They’re not “only if” and they’re never “perhaps.”
They aren’t tied up in riddles or tangled in traps.
In Jesus they thunder. They sparkle and blaze—
A booming bright, heavenly echoing: “Yes!”
But what of my answer? What words will I say?
Will I nod in the darkness, then wander away?
Or rise in the morning with courage and cheer,
And say, “Yes, Lord. I’m willing. I’m right here”?
When he says, “Forgive,” and my feelings say no,
When pride wants to stay but his Spirit says go,
When giving feels risky and trusting feels wild—
Will I say yes like Mary, God’s brave little child?
A yes without footnotes, a yes without fear,
A yes when the pathway ahead isn’t clear,
A yes when the pruning feels sharp on the vine,
A yes when his timing isn’t matching mine.
God’s promises bloom where agreement is found,
Where faith plants its feet on obedient ground.
His promise stands firm. Will I give him my best?
The question is this: Will I always say yes?
Each time I obey, though the crowd may not see,
I am living another “Amen” for all of eternity.
My choices preach louder than words I profess.
My life becomes secure in forever saying yes.
So I’ll say it in kitchens and say it at desks,
I’ll say it through trials and all the hard tests.
I’ll put it in writing, in serving, in stress.
Whatever you’re asking, Lord, I say yes.
For all that God promised is true, you see,
Fulfilled in his Son and now offered to me.
He made it so Christ and has nothing to prove.
To fulfill his plan, saying yes is my only move.
