The Richer Way
Seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and he will give you everything you need.

I chased the things that seemed so bright,
And thought they’d fill my heart just right.
But every prize I would hold so tight
Soon faded like stars clouded at night.
I sought applause and earthly gain,
Yet found that wealth couldn’t sustain.
The things I thought would ease my pain
Left unheard echoes in depressing rain.
Then God revealed a richer way,
A treasure none can steal away.
His love brought joy my heart could keep,
And awakened hope out of sorrows deep.
He changed my heart from greed to grace,
And taught me to love in every place.
I found no need to win my own race
When joy was shining from his face.
The greatest gift wasn’t his hand,
But God himself, so good and grand.
His presence helped me understand
How life is built on stronger sand.
As diamonds shine by borrowed light,
Reflecting rays both warm and bright,
God’s glory can now shine through me,
A lighthouse that hurting souls can see.
For treasures rust and kingdoms fall,
But Christ is greater than them all.
His gentle voice still calls your name:
“Come, walk with me. For you, I came.”
