The Great Timekeeper
He has made everything right for its time. He gave us a sense of eternity, but we don’t know what God will do from beginning to end. We can do no better than to rejoice in God’s gifts and do good for as long as we live.
You may not see the path ahead,
Or know where every step is led;
But God can see beyond the climb,
And guide your way in perfect time.
Do not rush ahead in selfish pride,
Nor let your fearful heart step aside.
The Lord who calls you to begin,
Will show the way to walk therein.
A seed may wait beneath the ground,
While no green leaf or bloom is found.
In the soil, roots are reaching deep,
While God keeps watch and doesn’t sleep.
So write encouraging emails today,
And trust that God will make a way.
The stories you share, meek and true,
May bless a soul he leads to you.
With prayer, every message you frame,
Can lift someone’s heart in Jesus’ name.
Though doors may close and plans may bend,
God knows your path from beginning to end.
Just take the next step his light makes clear.
Anticipate tomorrow’s road with cheer.
For faithful hearts that trust and climb,
Will find God works in perfect time.
