Faith Rises, Fear Falls
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. I praise God for his Word, which leads me to trust him and not be afraid. What can people do to me?

Faith and fear are like oil and water.
Fear won’t mix with loving our Father.
When faith rises strong and clear,
Love pushes out the voice of fear.
Fear sees the storm and dreads the night.
Faith sees the One who brings the light.
Fear says, “The waves will pull you down.”
Faith says, “In Christ, you cannot drown.”
Fear counts the troubles drawing near.
Faith knows that God is always here.
Fear trembles at what eyes can see.
Faith trusts the One who sets us free.
When anxious thoughts begin to rise,
Turn from the storm and lift your eyes.
God’s promises will calm your soul
And give you peace beyond control.
You need not know what lies ahead
When by his faithful hand you’re led.
Take one more step, though sight is dim.
Your journey is always safe with him.
So let your faith rise to the top,
And let each fearful whisper stop.
For when you trust God’s guiding hand,
Fear can’t stay, and faith must stand.
