Obituary of Significance

Methuselah was an unrighteous man who died in the year of the Great Flood, with nothing worth mentioning in 969 years. People may be famous when they die, but Jesus wasn’t—not until he rose from the dead. Now, we have the opportunity to reign with him.
In all domains, Jesus now stands far above every ruler, authority, and power, his name carrying more weight than anyone in the present age and in all times yet to come. — Ephesians 1:21
Ten Thoughts to Ponder
- I dare not forget my mistakes, lest I should repeat them.
- As we walk with the Lord, the past cannot dictate our future, for he is always doing new things.
- If Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, then we must be his ghostwriters.
- If I weren’t so focused on what interests me, I could listen better.
- With an intense desire to improve, we’ll recognize our weaknesses and strengths, and we’ll keep finding whatever works to make us better.
- Faith is most evident between the prayer and the answer.
- Like a GPS, the Holy Spirit can be our guide, if we choose to listen, but his gift of free will won’t let him be our chauffeur, doing the driving for us.
- The changes God wants to make in us will require a miracle that only he is capable of doing.
- Making every word count is much more important than counting every word.
- By caring for others more than myself, I do much more for myself than I could do if I cared more for myself.
Questions for Further Thought

- What makes our work valuable on Earth after we’re gone?
