Power in Numbers

Sometimes when people go out alone, they are never heard from again. Gang members can feel safe for as long as they don’t face a bigger, more powerful gang. No wonder people are afraid. To feel safe, how big an army do we need with us?

Ten Thoughts to Ponder
- Where two or three are gathered, synergy can be powerful, but when God is part of our group, we have synergy on steroids.
- The blind, deaf, and ignorant are specially equipped with God’s sight, hearing, and intelligence to do his will.
- Blind faith is imagining something that isn’t there, but real faith is hearing and believing God’s voice, thereby knowing the truth when we can’t see the evidence.
- God’s plan for my success cannot follow the path of millionaires who describe their well devised plans that will supposedly work for everybody.
- The greatest talent I have to offer the Lord is total surrender to his way instead of mine.
- Failure to listen is like not being there. We don’t know what we’re missing.
- Except for preparation, a promise is of no use today.
- For all things to work together for good, I need to focus on God’s purpose, not mine.
- We can be sure God knows that the avoidance of pain is a stronger motivator than the pursuit of pleasure.
- Hearing is something I do without thinking, requiring no action, but listening is hard work that demands my full attention, followed by action.
