Unbelievable Magic

Babies laugh in a game of peekaboo because Mommy is gone and then magically reappears. At a trade show, I watched intensely from a foot away, but I never figured out how he could hold up an ace of hearts by the corner, turn the back to face me, and show me the card is not an ace but a jack of clubs. God made a man out of dirt and a woman out of a man’s rib. He caused the Red Sea to part, the water forming a wall on each side, so millions of Israelites with all their ox carts and livestock could cross on dry land. Unexplainable magic is something we see with our own eyes. We know there’s a cause, but we can’t imagine how it’s done.

Using dust from the ground, God created a man and breathed life into his nostrils, causing him to be a living being. — Genesis 2:7

Ten Thoughts to Ponder

1. The excitement of embracing the truth comes from recognizing its value.
2. The things we cannot control have to be left to God or we die in frustration.
3. God is the one boss we must please, because we can’t please everyone.
4. Without the process, we wouldn’t value the prize.
5. Eager anticipation is a lot more fun than anxiety.
6. I cannot imagine what I have not yet experienced.
7. There is a spiritual dimension to understanding that I don’t understand.
8. To learn, I must admit that I didn’t already know.
9. Traffic congestion is caused by so many people not being where they need to be.
10. I am fascinated by the fascinating way in which God does all things.
11. Fools know but don’t understand.
