Talking to a Friend

Talking to a Friend

If I could talk to my favorite teacher in eighth grade, I’d share my love for algebraic functions. I’d love to talk to my ninth-grade teacher to tell her she was wrong about my inability to write. I wish I could talk to Daddy about all that’s happened since he left for Heaven. Of all the friends I’ve gained and lost I still have one friend I can talk to at any time, without fear of any consequence for being completely open and honest. God is always here to listen, for he understands me the best of all friends.

In desperation, I cried unto the Lord. From his heavenly dwelling place faraway, he heard my voice and listened to my plea for help. Since you know how much God cares, you can surrender all your worries to him. — Psalm 18:6; 1 Peter 5:7
