Strength of Togetherness
Like the human body has many parts that function differently according to the need, those who are members of Christ’s body are individually equipped to serve different needs.

There once were parts that all worked alone,
Each proud of its skill, each set on its own.
The saw said, “I’m sharp.” The hammer hit hard,
Saying, “I do my own pounding out in the yard.”
The nail tried to hold, but it bent with a sigh,
The wood wouldn’t stand, though it did try.
The saw made a mess with no measure or guide.
The hammer kept pounding with nothing to drive.
They huffed and they puffed till they all felt quite small,
For something was missing. They couldn’t build at all.
Then a strong message came into the room,
“Together you’ll flourish, but apart there’s gloom.”
The hammer met the nail, and the saw found its place.
The wood stood tall and strong with elegant grace.
Each part did its role, like a just-right stew,
And like magic, something wonderful grew.
A table. A chair. A fine cabinet was built too.
All made by the parts that now worked as a crew.
What none could accomplish when working apart
Was formed into beauty when joined heart-to-heart.
So here is the lesson that you don’t want to miss:
There’s power in “we” far beyond “I” and “this.”
For when hearts unite with a purpose that’s smart,
The whole becomes greater than each separate part.
