Write On

Beloved, we may be God’s writers, but we don’t yet know what our writing will become. But the more of him we reflect in our words, the more our readers will want to be like him, for they shall see how great he really is.
Revelation 14:13 Scripture for Writers
Write On

I sometimes wonder what writers will do
When earthly assignments are through.
Will notebooks be closed and all stories be done,
When Heaven is reached and eternity’s begun?

I think God will still have great wonders to tell,
Of mercy that rescued and grace that prevailed.
Each life will reveal how his faithful love came.
Writers may fashion stories to praise his name.

Perhaps we’ll write poems no sorrow can stain,
And joyful songs where there once had been pain.
We’ll tell how the lost were made worthy and whole,
And how Christ brought light to the darkest soul.

No writer will struggle for something to say.
Wonders will blossom forever and a day.
God’s glory will offer new truth to explore,
And Heaven’s best stories will shine evermore.

So write while on Earth with your heart set above.
Give words to God’s mercy, his goodness, and love.
Your calling may change at eternity’s start,
But surely we’ll need to write from the heart.
