Where Hearts Are Hurting

Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who meets us with mercy and comfort. He helps us through our hardest seasons so we can write with understanding, tenderness, and hope. The comfort Christ gives us becomes part of the message we share, helping others believe they too can make it through.
2 Corinthians 1:3–4 Scripture for Writers
Where Hearts Are Hurting

Begin where hearts already ache,
Where weary souls can bend and break.
Then speak the hope they long to hear,
And let your words draw Heaven near.

Some need a hand. Some need a light,
Needing the strength to face the night.
Some need to know they are not alone,
That God still sees and calls them his own.

Do not begin with literary art,
But with burden from the heart.
For truth will find a welcome place
When wrapped in love and grace.

It’s not by our skill or strength alone,
But by the Spirit from God’s throne.
His mighty power must fill each word,
Until the wounded heart has heard.

The deepest need may hide below,
Where only loving kindness can go.
So start with wounds already known,
And slowly guide them to God’s throne.

Your well-placed words will lift the weak,
And give them strength and faith to speak.
When love begins where people feel,
The Lord can touch, restore, and heal.
