What Makes Stories Count
You who first discovered Christ became storytellers share his message of hope so every word reveals his glory. You became part of his miraculous story when you heard the truth and chose to trust him. The moment you believed the good news, God marked you as his own, placing his Spirit within you, like a signature on a finished work, naming you as his ghostwriter.

I met a wise writer who counted in rhyme,
Who measured his meters and mapped out his time.
He chuckled. “You see, it’s all part of the plan—
For stories and numbers fit hand-in-hand.”
He scribbled out sums with a flourish and flair,
Then danced through a sentence suspended in air.
With commas and fractions and curves in a line,
He blended the art with God’s grand design.
“Most folks never notice,” he said with a grin,
“How math and good stories are woven within.
They think numbers are cold and tales are just fun—
But both tell of order, of things joined as one.”
For God, oh, the Maker, the Author of All,
Writes stars into space and gives each one a call.
He measures their pathways with infinite care,
Yet paints them like poems in dark velvet air.
He counts every heartbeat, each grain of the sand,
Yet whispers out stories, both gentle and grand.
He balances planets, yet speaks life in his Word—
A Mathematician whose voice needs to be heard.
He plotted creation with wisdom so very deep,
Where galaxies spin and he hears sparrows peep.
Equations and parables flow from his mind—
Precision and beauty so perfectly entwined.
So if you love writing and numbers the same,
You’re playing, perhaps, in God’s marvelous game.
For God loves a story, a pattern, or a clue—
And smiles when his image shines brightly in you.
