Believing in God

Believing in God

I used to believe the common saying, Seeing is believing. Not anymore. I’m amazed at how many people either can’t or won’t believe what they’re seeing. Therefore, I’m more inclined to think the correct saying is, Believing is seeing. Many people don’t believe God exists. How is that possible? The apostle Paul says his creation makes it obvious. Every day in my biology class, I learned more about creation, proving God’s existence. Maybe they don’t believe, because they don’t want to.

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen me, yet believe.” — John 20:29

Ten Thoughts to Ponder

  1. With spiritual awareness, one can know yet not understand.
  2. As long as God is guiding my steps, I don’t have to know where I’m going.
  3. I only have opinions. God knows.
  4. Something is spectacular when we can see the fireworks.
  5. If I think I can see, trusting God’s guidance becomes more difficult.
  6. Because it has no predictable pattern, reality is much more exciting than formality.
  7. Anything counterfeited proves the existence and value of what is being counterfeited.
  8. Without God’s help, I am much too complex to understand myself, let alone anybody else.
  9. A telescope and a microscope will show me reality beyond what I can see with the naked eye, but that won’t get me close to the unlimited scope of reality that only God can see.
  10. If God has no purpose in my actions, I have experienced a waste of energy and time.
