Opportunity: A Tuna’s Tale of the Current
Trust God with your whole being, and don’t rely solely upon what you think is true. Let the Lord guide everything you do, and he will keep you on the right path.

A tuna once graduated at the top of his school,
With fins full of dreams and a mindset quite cool.
Charlie squinted ahead at the currents so wide,
And whispered, “My future is out with that tide.”
He studied the swirls and the ripples that raced,
Each current a pathway, a choice to be faced.
“An opportunity,” he said with a wide grin,
Is knowing which current to boldly swim in.”
Some fish simply drifted wherever they’d go,
Let waves make decisions, going with the flow.
But this young tuna said, “That I will not do.
With faith, I will choose what I want to pursue.”
For currents can carry you quickly off track,
Pushing you ahead or pulling your fins back.
Charlie watched and waited, then swam with intent,
Not wasting a moment on any waters misspent.
He darted through currents both narrow and wide,
With courage his compass and hope as his guide.
Although waves were risky and frothed with doubt,
He trusted each turn would still work itself out.
“For life,” Charlie said, “is more than a stream.
It’s shaped by the swimmer who follows a dream.
Opportunity’s not just a current you see.
It’s finding God’s course in a wide-open sea.”
