Feverish Prayer
The prayer of faith shall save those who have given up on making themselves well. The Lord will give them life, forgiving their sins and restoring a relationship with him.

A fever came knocking and said with a grin,
There’s likely a germ that is stirring within.
An infection, perhaps. What would a doctor say?
An antibiotic will chase the fever away.
But while doctors consider what medicines do,
Bill whispered a prayer as the fever still grew.
For sometimes the cure that our bodies require
Is healing that flows from a heavenly fire.
Prescriptions might battle the bugs we can see.
Doctors bring wisdom through science and study.
Yet prayer is a medicine gentle and wise—
A remedy sent from the Lord of the skies.
So whether by tablets or mercy from above,
The answer comes through God’s healing love.
For fevers may rise and infections may call—
But prayer is the balm that can comfort us all.
