Good Enough

Good Enough

At work, my boss said, “If you can’t do the job, I’ll find someone who can.” I was doing my best. What more could I do but find another job where I would be good enough? Jesus told about a man who didn’t use his talent, because he thought he couldn’t meet his boss’s expectation. With God, we don’t have to worry about that, because doing our best to please him is always good enough. He only wants our wholehearted effort and no more. He’s the miracle worker who will use our small investment to produce amazing results. We should never quit.

Whatever you do for people, give your best effort to please the Lord, knowing that the greatest reward comes from serving him. — Colossians 3:23–24
