Word Power

Grass turns brown. Flowers lose their petals. But the Word of our God stands forever. — Isaiah 40:8 The Discussion Bible

Grass turns brown. It crinkles and dies.
Flowers fall down as their color waves bye.
The grass fades away. The blooms disappear,
They last for a season, but not for a year.

The winds come and blow them. They wither and go,
But God’s Word stands strong. It’s forever, you know.
It doesn’t grow brittle. It doesn’t fall flat.
It’s steady and sure. Now fancy that.

The grass may turn yellow. The flowers may fall,
But God’s Word outlasts and outshines them all.
Forever and ever, his Word will remain,
Through all kinds of weather, through snow, sleet, and rain.

Trust in his Word, for it’s invincibly true.
It won’t blow away like the petals that flew.
When all else is gone, faded from view,
God’s Word stands forever for me and you.
