To illustrate their need to always pray and never give up, Jesus told a story. — Luke 18:1 The Discussion Bible

Jesus revealed the truth in such a wonderful way,
With stories and analogies that brightened the day.
He used them as much as their hearts could receive,
In ways they could follow, in ways they’d believe.

He didn’t expound truth was boringly flat.
His stories painted mental pictures. Imagine that.
He spoke of seeds and trees and fish in the sea,
Describing treasures, pearls, and lost sheep with glee.

No one who heard him would simply ignore—
Each lesson was packed with life at its core.
A puzzle. A picture. A tale with a twist.
His stories were something too good to be missed.

He knew what people needed, the words that were best.
He told them the truth in a way they’d digest.
When speaking or writing, take a tip from his lead.
Tell stories with meaning. That’s just what they need.
