We grumble at weaknesses. We groan, and we sigh.
“We must fix this flaw,” we say. “Oh my. Oh my!”
But sometimes that crack, that wobble, that seam,
Could be a part of a new strengthening scheme.
That shyness that makes you pause, look, and see?
It might be the root of wonderful empathy.
That careful overthinking, slowing your pace,
Can craft words with wisdom, depth, and grace.
So instead of chasing flaws with a broom,
Trying to sweep them out of the room,
Let’s tilt our heads sideways, squint just a bit,
And ask, “What if this helps me? Might it fit?”
And then we can look where we’re already strong,
Where effort feels right and progress comes along.
Don’t toss that success as a thought to ignore—
Because one slight tweak could cause you to soar.
When a well-watered strength isn’t for pride,
It can grows like a vine, spreading far and wide.
So tend what’s working. Refine what you do.
Let God give strength for something brand new.
For weaknesses whisper and strengths gently sing,
Both shaped by the same Master, Potter, and King.
When we listen with faith, not panic or fear,
We find gifts that are already planted right here.
