The Maker of Earth, the skies, and the sea,
Is the One who made mountains and bumblebees.
He shaped every star and each sandy dune.
The Lord is Creator of the sun and the moon.
He says, “Come and ask. I’ve got treasures for you,
Big secrets, great wonders, and things you never knew,
Not old, dusty facts or small, boring things,
But marvelous mysteries with wide-open wings.”
“You can’t find them hiding in drawers or in books.
You can’t dig them up in the oddest of nooks.
But ask me,” he says, “and I’ll help you to see
The marvelous things I have for you and me.”
Don’t be afraid. Be curious and be bold.
God’s wisdom is better than silver or gold.
When you ask, he’ll show you. He won’t let you miss
The grandest of secrets wrapped up in his kiss.
So knock, and then listen. Then wait, and you’ll see
He loves to reveal his great mysteries.
There’s wonder and wisdom he’s waiting to share.
Surprises and secrets are found everywhere!
