You can stack your pennies, nickels, and gold,
But hoarding treasures on Earth will tarnish and mold.
They may sparkle for a while, then vanish away,
For they will never last past the end of your days.
But treasures in Heaven are steady and true.
They shine even brighter. They sparkle for you.
They’re built out of loving, obeying, and care.
Nothing here can compare with what’s there.
A wallet of money won’t satisfy every need,
But God gives bread that will satisfy, indeed.
So seek him and trust him. His promises are sure.
The abundance of his treasures forever endure.
