I once was quite jittery, flustered, and scared,
With troubles and worries that no one else shared.
The world tried to help with its hustle and spin,
But peace from the world never settled within.
Then Jesus stepped in with a whisper so kind,
“I give you a peace of a heavenly kind.
It’s not like the noise or the rush of the day—
It calms all the storms and it won’t drift away.”
He said, “Don’t you worry. Don’t tremble or shake.
My peace is a promise that nothing can break.
No fear in the night and no panic at dawn,
For I am your peace, and I’ll help you press on.”
So now when the worries come knocking with might,
I open my heart to His love and His light.
For Jesus has given a peace so complete—
It dances with joy and it marches on feet.
So fear not the darkness, nor sigh when you fall—
His peace is forever, and it’s stronger than all.
