Oh, the Lord is my Sun with a warm, happy glow,
He lights up my path everywhere that I go.
He smiles as he shines, bringing joy to my day,
And chases the gloom and the grumbles away.
He’s also my Shield. Oh! What comfort I know.
He guards me with love and a heavenly glow.
No trouble can scare me, no shadow can stay,
With the Lord by my side, I skip on my way.
He won’t hold back goodness—he’s eager to share,
With all who walk rightly and show that they care.
He pours out his kindness, his honor and cheer.
My life is filled with his blessings every year.
So I’ll laugh and sing in his sweet, golden light.
I’ll thrive in his joy from the morning to night.
For the Lord is my Sun and Shield, forever near.
With his love in my heart, I have nothing to fear.
