Podcast Positioning

There’s a time to tear apart and a time to mend together, a time to be quiet and a time to speak. — Ecclesiastes 3:7 The Discussion Bible

I don’t go out seeking. I don’t go to beg.
But podcasts do knock and pull at my leg.
A few each year say, “Please, won’t you speak?”
They’re thrilled when I come to talk that week.

About half the time, I return for the show.
The other half vanishes. That’s how things go.
I’ve chatted, laughed, and shared stories with cheer,
But books? I’ve never sold even one, I fear.

The crowd isn’t that big. The numbers are small,
Like shouting my tale in a rather short hall.
But if ten million or more were going to be listening,
I’d change my thoughts about podcast positioning.
