Pausing with Purpose

Without a clear message, rushing to write is like running with no destination. Slow down. First seek understanding from the Lord. Or your story may go astray. — Proverbs 19:2 Scripture for Writers

When your words feel tangled or lost in a haze,
And your story gets stuck in a twisty-wrong maze,
Just pause for a moment. Don’t panic or fear.
Take a deep breath. Give your mind time to clear.

A pause helps you notice what works and what fails.
It keeps you from charging like trains off their rails.
It’s stopping to listen for what God might say—
A whisper of wisdom to guide you on his way.

So pause when you’re puzzled or unsure what’s true.
Then write with fresh courage in all that you do.
For pausing with purpose is every writer’s friend.
It helps your best stories take shape in the end.
