Password Magic

Not everyone who calls me master will enter the Kingdom of Heaven but only those who do the will of my heavenly Father. — Matthew 7:21

A password unlocks when the code is just right.
Otherwise, the entrance will stay locked up tight.
It guards what we treasure, protects what we own.
Without the right password, we’re shut out alone.

Heaven’s great entrance doesn’t open that way.
No magic password lets you just stroll in to stay.
Not “open sesame” or “abracadabra.” Not even “please,”
For God isn’t fooled by such magic words as these.

The Pharisees had righteous deeds on display,
As if their religious practice was the right way.
But Jesus said, “No! That won’t get you inside.
Your heart must be changed, not puffed up with pride.”

The true word is “Yes!”—like in Gethsemane’s night,
Where Jesus chose God’s will, though hard was the fight.
It’s not in the saying, but living it through,
Obedience proving the love that is true.

So what is the key that unlocks Heaven’s gate?
It’s not just good morals or rituals we state.
The password is living surrendered and free,
Our identity rooted in Christ’s victory.
