Oh, the sound that erupted was grander than grand—
Like big booming thunder that rolled through the land.
Like waves that break loudly on a far-stretching shore,
As millions cried, “Hallelujah!” more and more.
“Our Lord God Almighty. He reigns. He is King!”
Their voices rose higher in an exuberant sing.
They danced and they laughed in the glow of his light,
Rejoicing together with hearts illumined so bright.
For the Bride was ready, so radiant, so new,
Clothed in the grace only Heaven can do.
Prepared for the Lamb and his feast without end,
Where joy overflows and all sorrows will mend.
Oh, the great wedding day. What a marvelous sight—
With trumpets of triumph and robes shining white—
A party of glory that never grows dim—
The Bride with her Bridegroom, forever with him.
