Long ago in the sky so shiny and bright,
God made angels to love him and do right.
They sang and they served in happy accord,
All glad to obey their wonderful Lord.
But Lucifer thought he had a better idea.
To sit on his own throne was his criteria.
He thought he deserved to be at the helm,
So pride stirred a battle in the heavenly realm.
Boom! came warfare as never before seen,
With some angels joining Satan’s evil scene.
Michael stood strong with angels faithful and true,
And evil couldn’t be part of the heavenly view.
Down fell that mean devil, not banned by mistake,
But sent away for the bad choices he would make.
Sent from Heaven above to Earth down below,
He fell like lightning—a brilliant but brief glow.
The angels with Satan were banned, as well.
Because of their rebellion, they also fell.
Locked up in the darkness, in chains they stay,
Waiting for their destiny on Judgment Day.
The devil roams Earth, but he’s not that strong,
He lies and deceives, but he won’t last long.
He prowls and growls like a lion, trying to be tough,
But God controls him and says when that’s enough.
Satan has demons that extend his domain,
But they too are limited and can’t remain.
They’re scared of Jesus. They know he’s the King,
If our surrender to God’s will becomes our thing.
So sleep well, child of God, with peace in your heart,
For God’s presence is always with you—never apart.
When the battle is over, the victory will be clear.
When God is for us, there is nothing to fear.
