“I do what I see,” the Son said with a grin,
“I don’t start the work till my Father steps in.
Whatever he’s doing, I’m eager to obey,
For his will and mine walk the same way.”
When the Father is giving, the Son gives as well.
When mercy is moving, his heart starts to swell.
The Son heals where the Father wants to bless.
Each act of compassion is always saying yes.
He taught us to follow, to listen, and to see,
To notice what God wants and simply agree.
No pride or pretending, no rush to begin—
Just wait for the Father. Then joyfully join in.
So when you feel driven to rush on ahead,
Remember the pattern as Jesus once said:
“The Son does nothing until the Father commands.”
We’re like our Father as we walk holding hands.
