The world may get loud with its shouting and show,
But the voice that is greater is the One whom you know.
It whispers with power. It speaks with delight.
It tells you what’s wrong and shows you what’s right.
False teachers may make lies sound like the truth,
Like poison wrapped sweetly and fed to our youth.
But you, dear child, need not tremble or fear—
God’s Spirit within you is steadfast and near.
So when you feel shaky, unsure what to do,
Just stand on the truth of God’s presence in you.
It’s stronger than darkness. It’s brighter than lies.
It lifts up your heart and will open your eyes.
