Oh Lord, oh Lord, we come to say,
We need your help to speak today—
To speak with boldness, loud and clear,
Without a hint of doubt or fear.
The world may shout, “Be quiet. Stop!”
But we can’t let God’s Word be dropped,
For truth is truth. It must be told,
With hearts alive and spirits bold.
They threatened us with looks so mean.
They told us we should not be seen.
But we will stand, and we will say,
“What God has spoken, we will relay.”
We’ll speak on hills. We’ll speak in halls.
We’ll speak in streets and shopping malls.
We’ll speak his love, his mighty name,
No matter whether they scoff or blame.
Lord, give us boldness. Help us speak,
To raise our voices, never weak.
For what you speak, we must say too.
Help us be bold as we speak for you.
