I once met a man with a task in his hand.
He tried all alone, with no help on demand.
He tugged and he pulled. He huffed and he strained.
But oh. Without help, not much was gained.
Then William came, grinning ear-to-ear.
“Friend,” he said, “that load’s too heavy, I fear.
Let’s do it together. Just give me one side.
We’ll finish much faster and do it with pride.”
So they lifted and shifted. They carried with grace.
What once seemed impossible fell into place.
And when the first stumbled and fell to the ground,
The second reached out and helped him rebound.
For two hands are better than one lonely fist,
And two brains can see what one might have missed.
If one man is weak. The other is strong.
Together they walk, helping each along.
So when you are working, don’t do it alone.
Find a good partner to help set the tone.
For teamwork, you see, is a gift from above,
A picture of friendship, of strength, and of love.
