When hungry, young lions may growl as they roam.
They frighten their prey, with no feast of their own.
But those who seek God will have plenty of bread,
For everyone who loves him will be richly fed.
The cubs may grow skinny. Their bellies may growl.
They wander the night with a pitiful howl.
But seekers of God find their hearts filled with cheer,
For he is their feast and their portion each year.
The strong may grow weaker. The proud may grow small.
But God gives his goodness to those who will call.
So seek him with gladness, and soon you will find,
His banquet of blessings, both rich and refined.
