Available Tools

Inspiring
At 2:00 a.m., far away from the nearest town, our church bus was taking snow skiers to the Rockies. Bam! A blowout. Now, a problem. The tire tool refused to loosen the lug nuts. We were stuck. Then I noticed the speed-limit sign bent over slightly, at just the right angle for three men to pull down on the pipe slipped over the tire tool.
To accomplish what God wants, tools are always available.
God said to Moses, “Take your staff in your hand and use it.”

Ten Thoughts to Ponder

  1. What appears to be an extremely valuable tool is actually worthless if it is never used.
  2. Artificial intelligence will never match God’s creative might that can work through us.
  3. A word from the Lord is better than a counselor’s advice.
  4. If we lack faith, then we either haven’t heard God’s voice, or we haven’t believed him. If we don’t lack faith but think we do, then our faith is not yet brought us to obedience.
  5. I must always make time to do whatever I feel like the Lord would have me do.
  6. I must have confidence that the Lord is in control of whatever needs to happen, so I can have confidence in doing whatever he has for me to do.
  7. When God’s thoughts are not my thoughts, my desires are led astray.
  8. The only thing I seem to know without any question is my ability to ask questions.
  9. My perception of reality falls far short of what God knows, which leaves me dependent upon him to direct my steps.
  10. One amazing ability we have in our growth with God is an ability to move forward in all directions at the same time.
