Plowing Pages

Like a farmer guiding a plow, writing for the Lord requires commitment. If you want publishing success, focus on what lies ahead. You can’t keep glancing over your shoulder at past failures, abandoned ideas, or safer roads. — Luke 9:62 Scripture for Writers

With hands on the keyboard, prepare for a fight
As you plow through words from morning till night.
If you’re writing for God, keep your eyes clear.
The sentences won’t align if you look to the rear.

Don’t glance at old chapters that stumbled or stalled,
Or ideas you parked when the pathway felt walled.
Your nice-and-comfy past may say, “Look at me!”
But that leads in circles with no progress, you see.

So scribble ahead with a faith-fueled grin,
Let courage say, “Go!” when doubt says “Stay in.”
For writers who press on with a forward-bound view
Plant words for the Kingdom in all that they do.
