Greatest Glory Glow

Like someone looking into a mirror, we see the beauty of who we will become, more and more like the Lord, being changed from glory to even greater glory by the work of his Spirit. — 2 Corinthians 3:18 The Discussion Bible

Glory is a bright shining thing, rooted in all that is true,
Not sparkles that fool the eyes or shadows dressed in blue.
It’s honor, worth, and radiance that comes from God alone,
A brilliance from the heart that says we are God’s own.

Some glory can be faked, of course—like diamonds made of glass.
What glitters for a passing glance has value that doesn’t last.
Eternal truth shines on with steady light that never fades away,
While lies look good at night but aren’t much, come the day.

We can be God’s diamonds formed from pressure, heat, and time,
Dust and brokenness transformed into something rare and fine.
When we let God’s presence shine instead of seeking fame,
His glory will be seen in our deeds like a warm and living flame.
