When thunder is crashing and waves start to roar,
When worries come knocking and pound at your door,
Just hush all the noise and the fear that stirs within.
Be still in your heart and let his peace come in.
He whispers through chaos, “Now don’t be afraid.
The storm didn’t form where my power’s not laid.
I rule every ocean, each cloud, and each birth—
Be still and know that I am God over Earth.”
The nations may tremble and kingdoms may fall,
But God stands unshaken. He is King over all.
So calm your thinking and let your fretting depart.
Feel his great peace settling deep in your heart.
When tempests grow louder, just trust and be still,
God has ultimate control, and yes, he always will.
He governs the heavens, the seas, and your sod—
So rest in his promise and remember: He is God.
