God gives his gifts in various ways,
To light our nights and brighten our days.
No gifts are alike, yet they’re much the same.
Each one is given to glorify his name.
Some teach the truth with words so clear,
While others will simply turn an ear.
Some lead with wisdom, calm and kind,
While others penetrate hearts and minds.
Some build or paint or craft with flair,
And show God’s beauty everywhere.
Some cook or clean, mend or sew,
But they all have his love to show.
Some sing out loud or write or draw.
Each gift is designed to spark our awe.
For whether hard or soft, large or small,
God’s Spirit breathes his life through all.
The preacher’s word, the artist’s hue,
The helping hand, the heart that’s true—
All flow together, grace combined,
One Spirit weaving through every mind.
So if you think your gift’s too plain,
Know that its use will never be in vain.
He forms his plan in wondrous parts,
And writes his love upon human hearts.
So use your gift. Don’t let it hide.
Let humble hands replace your pride.
For God delights in all you will do,
When the gifts you use gives praise anew.
