God’s Puzzling Plan

He has made everything right for its time. He gave us a sense of eternity, but we don’t know what God will do from beginning to end. We can do no better than to rejoice in God’s gifts and do good for as long as we live. — Ecclesiastes 3:11–12 The Discussion Bible

We see one thread, all tangled tight,
But God sees patterns shining bright.
The back looks messy—knots and flaws,
But flip it and behold … applause.

Romans reminds us an important part
How God works from love at the start.
To fulfill his plan through pain or peace,
By his design, all our doubts can cease.

Sometimes our minds can sound like God,
And lead where angels fear to trod.
So test each thought. Does his love appear?
Does Scripture echo what you hear?

When tempests calmed and clouds withdrew,
God’s still small voice came softly through.
So will quiet hearts discern his tone,
And find his plan becomes their own.
