Writing Truth

A writer once asked, “What is truth? Can it be?
Is it hiding in words or the story I see?”
But truth isn’t tricky, it’s not just a game,
It lives in the heart where the real stories flame.

You can follow a formula, plot out each beat,
But without living truth, it will fall off its feet.
For readers can tell when a tale rings untrue,
They’ll close up the book and be finished with you.

The Pharisees read, but they missed the true Word,
Their pages were polished, but their hearts never stirred.
So writers take warning: don’t polish alone,
Let Spirit breathe life till the heartbeat is shown.

Creation itself shouts the stories of God,
From mountains to meadows, the flowers we trod.
Look closely, dear writer, and sharpen your sight,
For truth is all around you, just waiting for light.

So believe in your story, keep writing, don’t stop,
The truth will rise upward, it bubbles, it pops.
Don’t chase after lies or the trends of the day,
Write what is eternal—truth shows you the way.

A Writer’s Rhyme on Truth

Write what is honest, write what is real,
Readers can sense what your stories conceal.
Don’t chase the fads or the lies that won’t stay,
Let truth be your compass, it shows you the way.

Believe in your story, keep shaping each line,
Let Spirit breathe through it, with timing divine.
For words without heartbeat will never ring true,
But truth in your writing will always shine through.
