Story Blossom

When writers grow an idea and put it into action, the return is multiplied. A single seed of inspiration can grow into blogs, articles, and books—producing fruit far greater than what first was planted. — Matthew 13:23 Scripture for Writers

Are your stories hiding? They’re nowhere in sight.
You stare at the monitor, but nothing looks right.
Try scribbling a little. Just a doodle—one line.
That one tiny spark might grow and really shine.

When editors say, “Your proposal isn’t for us,”
Don’t abandon your keyboard or kick up a fuss.
Rejection’s a teacher. It helps you to grow,
Pointing to places where your craft needs to go.

When drafts turn out messy, all jumbled and wild,
Don’t grumble and throw a tantrum like a child.
Revision’s the polish, the shaping, the trimming,
That cuts the clutter and leaves what’s gleaming.

When discouragement surrounds you, standing bold,
You wonder if your stories are worthy to behold.
But your voice is needed—unique, true, and clear,
A message the world has been waiting to hear.

So write when you’re weary. Write when you’re glad.
Write when you’re certain. Write when you’re sad.
For words are like seeds. When planted with care,
They blossom as stories the whole world can share.
