Never Fear

Little flock, do not be afraid you will not have enough. Your Father is delighted to give you the Kingdom. — Luke 12:32 The Discussion Bible

Fear not, little flock—not a smidge of regret.
Your Shepherd is close so there’s no need to fret.
He cares for you so and knows what you need,
He waters your hope and plants every seed.

Don’t wonder and worry whether you’ll have enough
When the weather gets windy and life becomes tough.
For the Father up above will be smiling ear-to-ear,
Saying, “My Kingdom is yours. You’ve no reason to fear.”

He isn’t just rich. He owns everything.
From starlight and sunlight to robins that sing.
The fields are his artwork, the oceans his drum,
And he says, “Little flock, your treasure has come.”

He’s thrilled to provide, and he laughs in your joy.
He gives peace to the girl and great dreams to the boy.
You don’t earn his love or need to prove you’re the best,
Just trust him, receive him, and walk in his rest.

Go sell what you cling to. Yes, give it away,
For treasures in Heaven will neither rot nor decay.
Where your heart is, your treasure will be too.
The Father’s great Kingdom is waiting for you.

Go skip through the meadow and go laugh in the rain,
For the Shepherd who loves you will always remain.
He’s faithful and strong, with a heart set aflame—
Saying, “Don’t fear, dear flock, heirs to my name.”
