Did you know, dear friend, your body’s not trash?
It’s not just for giggles or fun in a flash.
It’s more than a shell or a suit that you wear.
It’s a temple. A treasure. A place God holds dear.
The Spirit of God wants your heart for his home,
So treat it with care, wherever you roam.
You don’t just belong to yourself anymore.
God paid for your life, and you’re his to the core!
Dance if you’d like and run if you must,
But do it with honor and do it with trust.
Your body and spirit—each beat, breath, and limb—
Belong to the Lord, so live bright for him.
So eat what is healthy and sleep when it’s time.
Don’t treat your poor body like dirt, grime, or slime.
Remember you’re chosen, redeemed from the fall,
And God, my dear friend, deserves all of your all.
