The Story Parade

Tell your children so they can tell their children. Let your story be known for generation after generation. — Joel 1:3 The Discussion Bible

Oh, tell your children. Don’t ever delay.
Tell them the story. Tell it today.
When they grow up, they’ll tell it with cheer.
They’ll pass it along for year after year.

From mother to daughter, from father to son,
The story keeps going. It’s never quite done.
It skips through the ages. It sings through the land—
A story that travels from hand to hand.

Don’t tuck it away. Don’t let it get old.
This story of wonders is made to be told.
From grandpa’s big chair to the next little knee,
Keep telling your stories for they’re legacies.

Let it roll on. Let it march. Just let’r fly.
A story so great should never just die.
So tell it today. Then tell it again—
From generation to generation, amen.
