Writers Take Flight

What we have seen and heard is too important to keep quiet. — Acts 4:20 The Discussion Bible

Oh, writers, come closer, for your stories so dear,
Are something your readers are desperate to hear.
You’ve seen the seeds of it. You know it’s profound—
A life-changing story to burst up from the ground.

You can’t keep it quiet. Don’t tuck it away,
For it needs to be published on a soon-coming day.
It giggles, it wriggles, and it rattles the page.
It flies off the keyboard as it comes of age.

Your encouraging words, of truth shining bright,
Will bring hope and joy in the darkest of nights.
We’ve seen hearts transformed. We’ve seen lives made new,
As your stories are written, pouring out through you.

Write your stories in poems or crafted in prose,
In letters, in journals, in the style you chose.
Type it in blogs or with ink from a pen.
Just don’t let it sit in a box or a den.

For stories bring courage. They ignite with a spark.,
They guide wandering souls in the light and the dark.
What you have seen, you dare not conceal,
For the power of stories is wondrously real.

Pick up your notebook, your laptop, your quill,
Your God-given stories are waiting to spill.
You’ve seen it. You’ve heard it. Now write it with might.
Don’t silence your story, but let it take flight.
