Reaching Out

Who is like you, God? You pardon the guilty and forgive the transgressions of the remnant of your people. You don’t remain angry forever but delight in showing mercy. You will turn to us with compassion and put down our iniquities. You will cast our sins into the sea. — Micah 7:18–19 The Discussion Bible

Lord, who is like you? There’s no one, not one.
You forgive us for so many wrongs we have done.
You don’t stay angry. You don’t stay mad.
You love to show mercy, and that makes us glad.

You turn to us kindly, with your warm, gentle face
To wipe away our guilt with your abundant grace
The sins we have carried, when we were so lost,
Into the sea of forgetfulness they are tossed.

Your love is so vast, your mercy so wide,
Your grace brings joy we should never hide.
Who is like you, with loving hands so true?
There’s no one greater, as we reach out to you.
