Week 5/2/25

Frank’s Random Thoughts for the Week

Keep what you like as your own. Discard the rest.

  • People are like stained glass, most beautiful when God’s light shines through.
  • With total focus on doing what God wants, we need not be concerned about the consequence of our actions, because we put the outcome under God’s control.
  • For as long as we think we can make it on our own, we have no need for God’s help.
  • Laws tell us what not to, more than we can remember, let alone do. But Love tells what is right to do.
  • A chemo infusion of God’s instructions will cure the cancers of confusion and misbelief.
  • Since Scripture is so easily twisted to suit whatever we want to believe, we do best to hear him speak to our hearts.
  • If we want to see better, we should take a closer look in the Son light.
  • The process of God’s transformation can be so gradual that I can’t see any difference when I look in the mirror, but I know it’s there.
  • Biblical authority doesn’t make a verse true, but because it is true, we should accept its authority.
  • Any misbeliefs that I might have need to be sacrificed for the sake of the truth that God knows that I don’t.
  • Without patience, we will miss God’s promise, because we will wind up going our own way.
  • Living for the Lord in fulfillment of his plan and purpose is much more difficult than dying for him, because everybody will die for something.
  • The joy of the Lord has value when we find ways to express it.
  • I had a thought that I thought was really important until I thought otherwise, and now I don’t know what to think.
  • Silence is golden when we can turn off the noise and hear God’s voice.
  • When feeling good is based on thinking we are in control, we should actually feel bad because we haven’t put God in control.
  • Problems are solved by confronting the issues, not by avoiding them.
  • Experiencing God’s glory is a pleasure we can enjoy in continually greater measure for all of eternity.
  • Nobody but Jesus can calm the storms that rage within.
  • I sleep with my reading glasses nearby because I’ll need them if I wake up and need to preserve an important thought that would otherwise be forgotten.
  • A rich man will have an abundance of cheap friends.
  • Since seeing the truth can’t force us to believe, we must first choose to believe God so we can see his truth.
  • If people could see all that God is doing, they would either be thrilled or terrified.
  • When I am sure my imagination isn’t creating God’s voice, then I can know when I am really hearing him.
  • Fools feel compelled to share their thoughts when they have none.
  • One great difficulty in following God’s direction is overlooking the little details that we think are unimportant.
