Week 3/28/25

Frank’s Random Thoughts for the Week

Keep what you like as your own. Discard the rest.

  • If we want to know the truth, we should ask lots of questions and reconsider our beliefs.
  • If people can ignore the reality of God’s presence, their imaginations can make lies appear to be truths.
  • The blind leading the blind cannot avoid the ditch, but walking with the Lord keeps us safe.
  • An encyclopedia is filled with knowledge, but we need the Holy Spirit for such information to give us intelligence and wisdom.
  • God uses trying times to lead us to repentance, not regret.
  • Today, I am determined to do whatever is most pleasing to the Lord, which makes it possible for me to do even better tomorrow.
  • We need the light of God to see well, or we’ll stumble in the darkness.
  • Being thankful for God’s gifts is good, but being thankful for the use of his gifts for good is even better.
  • If I’m not doing what God wants, then my achievements have no lasting value.
  • We may not know how, when, or where, but the strength of our faith in surrender to God’s will must inevitably move mountains.
  • The direction of the Holy Spirit is the best antidote for ignorance.
  • Ignorance is the weakest excuse for accomplishing nothing, because we already know enough to do something worthwhile.
  • Wondering may stumble upon an answer, but asking one who knows is the better approach.
  • I am limited in my pace, unwilling to drag my feet or run too fast, because I dare not fall behind nor run ahead of God, who walks with me.
  • To identify a lie, we must question the validity of its apparent truth.
  • The miracle of God’s presence working in us allows us to accomplish more than we were able to do.
  • Being captivated by God is liberating, not constraining, freeing us to do all that is good.
  • Our definitions of love are grossly inadequate to define the nature and magnitude of God’s love.
  • Faith can recognize a miracle when it is nowhere in sight.
  • Knowing we can never be good enough, we can embrace the truth that God working in us is always good enough.
  • When I leap into the air, I fall to the ground, but when the Lord lifts me, I don’t have to fall.
  • We can be confident in God’s plan when we meet the conditions for him to cause all things to work together for good.
  • God’s way is the right way, because my way won’t take me to where I want to go.
  • If we were aware of all the miracles that God has worked in our lives, then we might be able to count them all.
  • Without appreciation for God’s process, I risk missing the goal that he has for me.
  • Some Christians don’t have time for thanksgiving, because they’re too busy praying for what they don’t have.
