Meeting in Heaven

Inspiring
Many songs remind me of the day when I will see Jesus. The older I get, the more I long to see friends and family who are in Heaven, awaiting my arrival. I’d like to see Peter, John, and the apostle Paul. I want to hear stories from Abraham, Moses, and Elijah. Of all the biblical characters, who do you most want to see besides Jesus?
I want to see the widow who Jesus saw in the Temple so I can learn what was so valuable that she gave everything she had.

Jesus said, “There are many places where you can stay in my Father’s house. After I have prepared for your arrival, I will come back for you so we can be there together.”
— John 14:1, 3

Ten Thoughts to Ponder

  1. We would say more, or less, if we knew what the Lord wanted us to say, which is why we should pray without ceasing.
  2. Possessing God’s blessings is nothing to boast about, for their value comes from giving, not getting.
  3. We don’t have to define God before we can experience and know him.
  4. A strong-willed person can resist scratching an itch.
  5. Complacency will yield to a distraction without even knowing it has.
  6. Surprise is a magician pulling a dog out of a rabbit’s hat.
  7. Without direction, subconscious thinking becomes an accident.
  8. Delight comes from not having to wait any longer.
  9. If we understand that God is supplying our needs, we can delight in him because we don’t have to wait any longer.
  10. Intentional distractions are willful detours from what we know we should be doing.
